The Restaurant Agency is delighted to have sold the former Saffron Restaurant in Bruntsfield on behalf of Haroon Ali (multiple operator) who ran Saffron successfully from May 2021 - to the Campos Brothers, Daniel and Victor who already operate PIGGS Spanish Wine Bar and cafe on Edinburgh's famous Royal Mile. Sons of Ignacio Campos fondly known as Iggy who operated Iggs and Barioja on Jeffrey Street from 1989 - Daniel opened PIGGS in 2019 on the Royal Mile with Victor coming on board thereafter.
Now expanding out of the City into the "chimney pots" for the first time the expansion was always on the horizon and having looked at many units settled on Bruntsfield for their second unit.
PIGGS opened just last weekend (20 April 2024) and will be operating the 42 cover business (with some outside seating) 7 days a week from 12 noon to 11pm. For further information seek out their website on www.piggswinebar.co.uk.
